During the day (09:00 AM - 6:00 PM) there will be a business market and a network event concluding the event.
The following sessions will be in English:

What happend to Magento and Varien last year, where are we standing right now and what will the future look like? Yoav Kutner is going to tell us all about it.

Amit Shah will tell us more about the work of Varien, the plans for 2010 and the partners in The Netherlands.

Amit Shah will tell us all about what happend after Varien released the first Enterprise edition, what it brought to the ecommerce field and how the first shops are doing right now.

Yoav Kutner will tell us all we can expect from Magento Enterprise 1.8 and 1.9.

Implementing a (near) realtime SOAP interface between an ERP system and Magento doesn't sound too difficult – Magento already features a SOAP API out of the box, right?. This talk discusses the challenges we faced, and which solutions we choose to overcome them.
- Extending the Magento SOAP API (v2) without documentation
- Working around the runtime and memory limitations of the server
- Scaling for 110 times the amount of requests we expected
- Extending the Data-Interface on the way
- Finding the errors
Following the talk a discussion about other possible solutions and other experiences is planed.

Customize and extending Magento functionality is quite easy. The question is, how to do so in the right way? This session will cover key points and best practices of Magento customization, and will clarify Magento team restrictions which are used during development for supporting backward compatibility. Site performance is a key driver to customer conversion and eCommerce success. In this session several techniques of Zend’s application server for reducing application response time are presented, and the results of a real-life Magento optimization project are shared. Additionally Zend Server provides monitoring features – including new Code Tracing – which can help detecting and solving critical issues in order to improve user experience. By Jan Burkl

Application performance is a major consideration of any software, as it is with Magento. Magento’s functionality adds complexity, and the cache level of the application allows us to significantly improve performance. This session will cover caching techniques used in Magento, provide a list of supported cache storages and provide recommendations on selecting the optimal cache storage for specific uses.
