Sr. Technical Manager Developer Education and Evangelism – Magento Inc.

Biografie:

Vinai Kopp has been developing Magento modules since March 2008, until he joined Magento Inc. in October 2011 to manage developer education. He also serves as a Magento certification board member and is a known technical speaker on Magento related topics.

Vinai is co-author of the German Magento Developer Handbook published by O’reilly.

Before he joined Magento, Vinai worked as a freelance web developer for most of his life, using a multitude of technologies and languages. He enjoys getting to know new developers and new projects.

In his (very limited) spare time he likes travelling, running and spending time with his wife and his two children, dreaming of all the languages he still wants to learn.

Session: Magento Developer Certification (English session)

The Magento Certified Developer program was launched in December 2011, and since has been widely adopted by the Magento ecosystem. The focus of this presentation is on certification objectives where developers on average have been receiving lower ratings. It will explore parts of the Magento architecture by using practical examples.

Of course, no concrete answers to certification exam questions can be given, but the participants’ general understanding the covered topics will be expanded.
